2-3 Years Old
Your two-year-old is becoming more verbal, continuing to explore new things around them and is beginning to develop social skills. A balanced routine and flexibility is important at this age as your child’s developmental needs are different from their peers. To do this, your child’s preschool teacher and our classroom create a nurturing, home-like classroom environment where your toddler is treated as a capable individual, whose opinions, actions and thoughts are respected and valued.
Our Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum is designed to stimulate the whole child through experiences in math, science, language, drama and music. Language development is rapid at this age, so we also take this opportunity to help increase their vocabulary. All lessons are presented in a way to help develop each child’s imagination by learning through play.

FAQ
Does the staff provide potty training support?
At our daycare, our teachers initiate potty training around the age of two and a half, collaborating closely with parents to ensure a unified approach. We believe in a partnership where communication and support between home and daycare are key. Our teachers observe and respect each child’s readiness cues, working hand-in-hand with parents to establish consistent routines and techniques that align with the child’s comfort and development. Through this collaborative effort, we aim to create a positive and encouraging environment that fosters successful potty training experiences for every child.
How do you handle naps?
For all classes, we have a designated nap time scheduled from 12 to 2 in the afternoon to provide a restful period for children who benefit from sleep. For those who don’t nap, we offer a range of quiet activities that cater to individual preferences and interests. These activities include book reading, quiet games, drawing, and other calming endeavors that respect the need for relaxation and downtime. By providing this balance, we ensure that all children have the opportunity for either rejuvenating rest or engaging in tranquil activities, promoting a harmonious and adaptable environment for everyone’s needs.
