Pre-KG
4-5 Years Old
Your preschooler is growing up fast, potty-trained and eager to learn new things. At this age, your child is more coordinated and is absorbing lots of information every day. At Green Tree Academy, your child’s day is carefully planned out with a variety of hands-on activities to encourage learning and socialization. Your child is taught to write their name and recognize letters, numbers, colors and shapes. Preschool teachers introduce concepts like opposites, identifying emotions and basic directional skills. At this age, we also put a large focus on teaching self-awareness and fostering independence by helping your child master their self-help skills.
We design our preschool classrooms with these developmental milestones in mind and equip each classroom with age-appropriate, educational toys to help continue inspiring your child’s curiosity and desire to learn and engage with their classmates and their environment.

FAQ
Is screen time permitted?
In our daycare, we have a firm policy on limiting screen time and utilizing technology solely for educational purposes. We believe in fostering a hands-on, interactive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Any screen time is carefully curated, age-appropriate, and integrated into structured educational activities that support learning objectives. We prioritize real-world experiences, hands-on materials, and engaging activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional development. By restricting screen time to educational content, we aim to harness technology as a tool to enhance learning while ensuring a balanced and holistic approach to early childhood education.
Are caregivers able to provide regular updates?
In our daycare, communication with parents is streamlined and efficient through the Lillio app. This platform serves as a transparent and convenient channel for sharing updates, daily activities, and important information in real-time. Through Lillio, parents receive personalized notifications, including photos, progress reports, and schedules, allowing them to stay closely connected with their child’s experiences throughout the day. The app facilitates direct communication between caregivers and parents, enabling seamless interaction, feedback sharing, and the ability to address any concerns promptly. With Lillio, we prioritize transparency, collaboration, and continuous engagement to ensure parents are actively involved in their child’s growth and development at our daycare.
If needed, parent teacher meetings are scheduled with the Director and/or Assistant Director together.
